Building a Small Business Website

The NYS Center for Entrepreneurial Empowerment invites you to a simple and hands-on workshop to help you start building a website for your small business. This workshop is open to all skill levels; whether you're just starting out or looking to create a stronger online presence.

What We’ll Do:

  • Set goals for your website

  • Sketch your website layout on paper

  • Learn the basics of how websites work

  • Choose a platform like Wix or WordPress 

  • Watch live demos and start building your site

NELP Remote Small Business Legal Clinic

The Pace University SBDC, in partnership with the Brooklyn Public Library's Business & Career Center, will co-host a free legal clinic with the Neighborhood Entrepreneur Law Project (NELP). This clinic provides small business owners and entrepreneurs the opportunity to meet with a volunteer attorney for a 45-minute consultation. Attendees will gain valuable insights, including:

• Addressing specific legal needs for small businesses
• Understanding key legal considerations to protect their business
• Identifying tailored solutions with guidance from experienced attorneys

Business Builder Informational Session

Export Bootcamp Webinar Series | September 2024

Export Bootcamp is designed to help New York State companies sharpen or start their export focus and gain skills to successfully develop their export programs. This webinar series is also designed for experienced and new-to-export firms that would like expert advice on the topics listed below. Attendees will receive a Certificate following completion of this webinar series.
Who Should Attend: This webinar series is ideal for marketing and sales management and support staff, export operations personnel, purchasing, logistics, and anyone with a responsibility for export functions.

 

About the Presenters: The Export Bootcamp instructors are international trade practitioners that are primarily members of the New York District Export Council, a volunteer group of private-sector individuals appointed by the U.S. Secretary of Commerce to provide mentoring on exporting U.S. goods and services. They will present the course materials drawing from their extensive experience in international trade.
