COVID-19 Recovery Grants

As a service for our small business clients, the Pace SBDC keeps a running list of both government grant programs and privately funded grant programs aimed at helping businesses recover from the COVID-19 pandemic. If you're looking for grants to launch or expand your business (non-COVID related programs), visit our Business Growth & Launch Grants page.

Government Funded Grant Programs

This program provides grants of up to $25,000 to operating New York State based early-stage small and micro businesses, and for-profit independent arts and cultural organizations. The grants will be flexible and can be used for business operating expenses, including payroll, rent or mortgage payments, taxes, utilities and PPE expenses incurred between September 1, 2018, and January 1, 2022.
Due to the overwhelming response, the application for the NYC Small Business Resilience Grant has been paused until further notice. This program is a $10,000 grant to help eligible small businesses recover from the economic hardships that occurred because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Eligible New York City businesses must be located in a low-to-moderate income zone OR operate primarily as part of the Arts, Entertainment, and Recreation sector, or the Accommodation and Food Services sector.
This program provides grants of up to $50,000 to impacted small businesses and for-profit independent arts and cultural organizations. Eligibility requirements include 2019 or 2020 annual gross receipts between $25,000 and $2,500,000, positive net profit in 2019, and at least 25% loss in annual gross receipts from 2019 to 2020.
This program provides grants to large convention centers, hotels, and event spaces who provide discounts to eligible events in connection with attracting visitors to New York State. Grant amounts vary based on event size, the booking fees waived, and the hotel discounts offered, subject to maximum reimbursement rates and amounts.
This program provides grants to tourism-related businesses who expand their workforce by at least two net new full-time equivalent jobs between January 1, 2022 and June 30, 2022. Grant amounts are $5,000 per full-time employee added and $2,500 per part-time employee added.
This program provides grants to restaurants that offer meals and other food-related items to New Yorkers within distressed or underrepresented communities.

We know navigating different COVID-19 relief programs can be challenging. The Pace University SBDC is here to help. Contact us to schedule a no-cost, one-on-one business counseling session.
