The Pace SBDC helps small businesses secure Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprise (MWBE) certification from NYC, NYS, & the Port Authority, and provide support for businesses seeking to secure 8(a) certification through the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned certification through New York State.
Port Authority of NY & NJ Minority and Women-owned Business Enterprise (MWBE) Certification Program
  • Port Authority M/WBE Certification: Administered by the the Port Authority of NY & NJ, the Certification Program affords eligible businesses the opportunity to become certified as an M/WBE to participate in the agency's supplier diversity program. Certified M/WBEs may be eligible for set-aside contracts, vendor price preferences, and subcontracting opportunities. The agency's certification runs for a term of five years after which firms are required to submit a recertfication application for consideration.
