Fit N Play Mama

Fit N Play Mama was founded by Danielle Medina in 2020 with a focus on providing families with the tools and skills to live happier, healthier lives. Fit N Play Mama offers cooking classes, yoga workshops, lifestyle coaching, and even runs a summer camp to teach kids healthy habits in an exciting, explorer friendly environment.

Danielle first met with the NY SBDC's business advisors for assistance forming an LLC, setting up a business bank account, and otherwise formalizing her business. When the Pace University SBDC expanded to serve entrepreneurs in Brooklyn, Danielle began working with Business Advisor Joe Peterson to brainstorm marketing ideas, find strategies to maintain the business' deep community partnerships, and access market research from the NY SBDC Research Network. As Danielle works with medical centers, non-profit organizations, educational institutions, and senior centers, her clientele continues to grow.

Working with Joe, Fit N Play Mama recruited a student intern from Pace University's Entrepreneurship Club to help at their summer camp and improve their social media presence. The business also applied for and received the Citizen's Committee for New York City's Neighborhood Business Grant after learning about the opportunity from their business advisor. With this additional capital, both human and financial, Danielle is prepared to continuing growing Fit N Play Mama in New York City and beyond.

"Partnering with Pace SBDC has been a transformative experience for Fit N Play Mama LLC. Through the expert guidance of my advisor, Joe Peterson, my business has reached new heights in sales and marketing. His dedication to my growth is evident in our meetings, where he consistently provides actionable insights and resources that drive measurable results. Joe has also been instrumental in helping me find an amazing intern who perfectly aligns with my needs. Our next exciting goal is to craft a strategic business plan that will enable expansion to other states while continuing to thrive in NYC. This program has been an invaluable resource for growth and success," said Danielle Medina of working with the Pace SBDC.
