Nose Best Candles

Nose Best Candles is a retail shop in Bushwick, Brooklyn owned and operated by Brittany Furnani and Pace University alum Cristian Abbrancati. The pair began making candles together during the height of the pandemic and, after gaining traction with online sales, opened a retail store in 2022. Since then, they've grown their business with savvy online marketing, events, and collaborations.

Working with Pace SBDC Business Advisors Rawle Brown and Joe Peterson, the Nose Best Candles team has received assistance with business planning, generating new sales leads, and accessing new sources of capital. Recently, Nose Best secured financing from Empire State Development's NY Seed Grant and a small business loan from Ascendus through the NYC Opportunity Fund. They're using this financing to expand into more markets and ramp up candle production to meet rising demand. The business was recently recognized as the NYSBDC 2024 Millennial Small Business of the Year.
