Takeaways from the “Small Business Accounting Basics” Workshop

You’re operating your small business 24/7 but need to work on more formally tracking your business’ revenues and expenses.

Last week, the Pace University Small Business Development Center partnered up with CPA, Scott Chichester, to host a presentation that explored the foundation of small business accounting. In addition to clearing up the myths about debits and credits, Scott explained the differences and relation between assets, liabilities, and equity. Participants had great questions every step of the way to help facilitate an open discussion about a variety of transactions and how they can relate to their own respective businesses.

Whether you’re the owner of a successful business operation or simply in the early stages of your startup idea, we here at the Pace SBDC can help you access the one-on-one business counseling, training, and resources you need to achieve your business goals and dreams.
