Lessons from “Meet the Small Business Bankers” Panel
Cash flow is the engine of any business. Without access to financing, there’s little chance for you to get where you want to go.
Last week, the Pace University Small Business Development Center (SBDC) along with the US Small Business Administration (SBA), hosted a Small Business Bankers Panel event attended by over 150 participants. Moderated by District Director Beth Goldberg of the SBA, the bankers participated on the panel discussed their bank’s various loan programs and eligibility requirements. The panelists included representatives and loan specialists from the SBA, Santander, M&T Bank, Flushing Bank, TD, Northfield, and Newtek.
After their presentations, attendees engaged with bankers in an extensive Q&A to learn more about the details of the loan programs as well as qualifying factors. Small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs also had the opportunity to engage in one-to-one discussions with bankers from over a dozen local community banks and multi-national financial institutions about their specific small businesses.
