PACE SBDC at the 2022 International Franchise Expo

The Pace University Small Business Development Center (SBDC) teamed up with NJSBDC Rutgers to co-host a franchising training session at the 2022 International Franchise Expo. Held at the Javits Center, the expo included exhibits from dozens of franchisors as well as in-person group instruction for aspiring entrepreneurs on a wide range of franchising topics.

Pace SBDC Regional Director Andrew Flamm joined Elayne McClaine, Regional Director of NJSBDC at Rutgers New Brunswick to lay out key considerations for franchise ownership, including source of financing, marketing and operational issues. They then joined a panel discussion moderated by Boynton Weekes, FranNet Franchise Consultant as well as three franchise owners.

Attendees also learned how to leverage SBDCs as a resource partner in evaluating a franchise opportunity.
