PACE SBDC attends the 2024 NYSBDC Staff Training in Lake Placid

The team from Pace University's Small Business Development Center (SBDC) recently attended the annual staff training conference of the NYSBDC in Lake Placid, New York. During the conference, our team actively engaged in a wide range of hands-on workshops, providing invaluable professional development opportunities to ensure that they can provide clients with the most relevant and valuable counseling. Further, Pace SBDC Business Advisors Joe Peterson, Greg Callender and Pedro Soto presented and/or served on panels on website development, capital formation and connecting with underserved communities, respectively. Our team deepened connections with NYSBDC colleagues from across the state and met with a range of public and private sector partners, with the primary objective of exchanging ideas and discussing best practices for assisting small businesses.

We are thrilled that at the conference, Pace SBDC team members Sandra Cely and Pedro Soto were awarded with New York State Advanced and Basic Business Advisor certification designations, respectively. This recognition underscores their expertise and further enhances our ability to provide top-notch support to our clients. Additionally, the Pace University SBDC team received a recognition award for exceeding all annual metric goals. And finally, we are delighted that Pace SBDC client Nose Best was awarded the 2024 NYSBDC Millennial Small Business of the Year.
