Pace SBDC hosts NYSBDC State Director Sonya Smith
The Pace University Small Business Development Center (SBDC) team recently hosted NYSBDC State Director Sonya Smith for a visit to our center. As part of the visit Sonya met with the Pace SBDC team to discuss key programming we offer, as well as specialized areas of small business support, including website development, services to Spanish-speaking entrepreneurs, and providing connections to no-cost accounting and legal services. Pace SBDC Regional Director Andrew Flamm and Sonya also met with Lawrence Singleton, Dean of Pace’s Lubin School of Business.
The Pace SBDC team and Sonya then went to visit three Pace SBDC clients, Da Claudio Risorante, Trinity Boxing Club, and Fort Street Studio, at their respective locations. The clients discussed their respective business’ offerings, challenges faced and how their Pace SBDC Business Advisor was able to assist, offering insights into their entrepreneurial journeys and how they evolved to maintain their competitive advantage and serve their customers.
