Pace University SBDC at the 2024 "Meet the Primes" Networking Event

On September 30th, the Pace University Small Business Development Center (SBDC) had the pleasure of joining forces with the Baruch College SBDC at the 2024 "Meet the Primes" Networking Event, held at the MTA headquarters in Manhattan. The event provided a fantastic opportunity for us to connect with small business owners and entrepreneurs eager to learn about procurement opportunities with prime contractors.

During the event, Lourdes Zapata, Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer with the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA), introduced several new initiatives aimed at promoting diversity and inclusion within MTA contracting. She emphasized the MTA's continued commitment to expanding opportunities for Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprises (MWBEs) and encouraged small businesses to leverage resources like the Small Business Development Centers (SBDCs) to navigate the certification process and access procurement opportunities.

At the Pace University SBDC, we’re dedicated to helping small business owners and entrepreneurs through no-cost, 1:1 business advisory services. Whether you need assistance with access to capital, marketing strategies, or navigating government procurement opportunities, our certified business advisors are here to guide you every step of the way. If you’re interested in learning more or scheduling a business advisory session, visit our website or send us an email.
