Student Entrepreneur Pitches and Tabling (Spring 2022)

The Pace SBDC was thrilled to collaborate with Pace's Entrepreneurship Club on two events serving as an early kick-off for National Small Business Week! At the first event, student entrepreneurs were dropped into our mock Shark Tank and asked to pitch their ventures to peers and our panel. After pitching, Susan Gluck, a Pace SBDC Business Advisor with expertise in marketing and sales, and AJ Getter, an Associate at private equity firm GIC who spends his time analyzing business models and profitability, offered the entrepreneurs comments and suggestions so that they could fine-tune pitches and be prepared to present their ideas to real investors.

Following the pitch event, student small business owners were invited to table their businesses outside of One Pace Plaza to either sell products or promote their services. A number of businesses participated, ranging in industries from food to clothing to events, and there was an amazing turnout to support these businesses from both the Pace University and Lower Manhattan communities.

We look forward to participating in more events that bolster student and campus-based entrepreneurship when classes begin next Fall. To stay updated, follow the Pace Entrepreneurship Club on Instagram and subscribe to the Pace SBDC's newsletter.
